If you choose valuable fair fashion pieces, you are probably also very concerned about how they can be cleaned easily and without complications.
Especially with special products that are individually and elaborately produced, longevity is of great importance.
Especially with light-colored products, one wonders how they can be worn well in everyday life and how to deal with possible stains. Don't worry, we can reassure you.
Cleaning: Less is more
Wool has a rough fiber surface and is therefore dirt-repellent. The natural white wool bag strap (photo) with the gray-green motifs has been in use for several years, and as you can see, it still looks like new!

To protect the materials and colors, you should always use mild wool detergent or baby shampoo.
Please treat your products with care and observe the respective cleaning instructions that we provide with each of our products.
This way, you will enjoy your pieces for a very long time.
7 simple tips for caring for and cleaning wool:
- Wool has a rough fiber surface that makes it difficult for dirt to penetrate.
- Wool inherently possesses odor-neutralizing properties. Usually, it's enough to hang wool products in the fresh air to refresh them (you do this automatically with our Ayni Ppacha accessories when you use them).
- Gentle washing if necessary: Dry cleaning or hand washing is possible. Hand wash with wool detergent or, even better, baby shampoo. It's actually logical, but often forgotten: wool consists of hair and should therefore be treated like hair.
- Do not clean with hot water, but with lukewarm water, as heat causes the fibers to shrink.
- Drying: Dab dry and do not rub to avoid felting.
- Dry flat to maintain shape.
- Sunlight: Best to avoid it so that the natural fibers are not damaged. This also applies to drying and storage.
